TV / COM International, Inc. announced it had won a contract to supply Shanghai VSAT Network Systems Co., Ltd., with its single-channel MPEG-2 DVB encoding system. Shanghai VSAT, a telecom service provider of private video and audio channels, is launching its first private business television network in China and will use the TV / COM 's encoding system to broadcast conferences, meetings and training programs of their clients in more than 100 locations across China. TV / COM will configure the system and then deliver digital video and CD-quality audio services from the organization's headquarters in Shanghai via a high-speed E1 (2 megabits per second) telecom line to a remote satellite earth station outside Shanghai. From there, the digital stream will be uplinked to a satellite and then delivered to a closed-loop private network. Shanghai VSAT will handle the uplink and delivery of the video and audio requirements of their clients. TV / COM 's strategic partner in China, Mascon, Inc. will provide installation and after-sales support services.
