This market-wide shakeout is painful in the near term, but good in the long term. This will shake out weak companies and weak investors. When it is over, we will see what internet companies are still around. When the market comes back, which might be tomorrow, next week, or whenever, those investors who sold out of xyz.com will have to decide if they want to be in those same stocks or in the strong ones that have survived. I fully expect AOL to be a leader in this environment.
