Trufflette,

If IOM gaps down tomorrow AM. I WILL be buying from the word go. This stock is going to swing fast IMO. I don't know Jodie Glore personally but I have a feel for the way he thinks since I work for Rockwell Automation. I think BO is being a little short sighted IMO. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we saw IOM starting to diversify in 1999.

Analysts missed earnings by a whopping 40%. I think there are a few other possibilities that they are missing as well.

regards,

Chuck

Iomega said it expects to report breakeven results in the first quarter of 1999, with the possibility of a small profit or loss, due to first-quarter seasonality and component constraints associated with ramping new products.

A First Call estimate of five analysts puts the company's first quarter of 1999 earnings at four cents a share

''Due to first quarter seasonality and component constraints associated with ramping new products, we expect our first quarter 1999 results to be approximately breakeven with the possibility of a small profit or loss.''

This is the statement from the earnings press release that will offset all the positives (IMO). Unless Jodie can put an extremely positive spin on why Q1-99 will significantly miss analysts' consensus expectations during the CC, I suspect IOM will move lower in the AM.
