Jan 21 is meaningless.

No, JB. If you sell your shares any time up to the actual split, even after Jan. 21, you will not get the shares. People who do not buy shares of SUNW until the last minute before the stock splits will get shares from the split. Everyone who holds shares of SUNW when it splits, no matter when the shares were purchased, participate in the split.
