they were never guided by jodie about the 4cents....give him a chance, he said what he would do for the 4th qt. and did it...now he has said what he will do for the 1st.....lets see...in any case he did what he said and more this qt.....and i think he will exceed next....remember he said give or take 2 cents next qt....

"0" is still 700% higher year over year (lost -.07 98 first qtr.). Sales in 98 first qtr. were $407 million. I bet they better that sales mark ($407) by at least 15%. Additional costs will be needed for the 1) ramp of their NEW product not yet announced and 2) "bribing" Handheld PC companies to offer the clik! as an option. Consider the sales mix of drives to disks. Disks are taking up and much greater portion of the mix qtr. over qtr. The greater profit margin is in the disks. That reminds me. Where is that guy that said they'd make $.02 and have increasing negative cash flow position? He missed by 300% on the earnings and about $100 million on the cash flow. They are assuming seasonality relative to past experience. However, IOM didn't have 21 million drives in the pipe in 97 or 98 first qtr. They do now and will probably add another 4.5 million by the end of the first qtr.
