Geeze 1st.Mate, you sure know how to take the fun out of a bit of whimsey. You are right of course, there are far too many variables, and although if you looked hard enough you could find sufficiently stupid variables (like the stock always fell 2 points every Thursday after the Packers lost on Monday night football - don't bother checking, I just made it up) to add to a model to explain 98% of what was going on, it would be as meaningless as what I was fooling around with. Besides predictive modeling is a whole other animal. I never intended to do a serious analysis of anything to do with RKR. I was just fooling around, not trying to get a masters in economics. Anyway I won't bother now. I never thought anyone would take me seriously here, God knows I get enough of that at work.

Just to clear this up for Gavin and 1st.mate (and anyone else for that matter)...

I *never* indicated a connection between the number of posts here and the share price!

I did note that a lot of attention was being brought to Rock because it was being mentioned on a lot of threads here at SI and the story was being told to a larger audience for the first time! (I was one of those who was discovering it at that point in time) With the Chief's sound knowledge of the situation RKR is in right now being told to this new audience, and of course Paul's optimistic exhuberance calling for steadily higher share prices.... it became a self fulfilling prophecy!!! The volume was so low back then that just several people deciding to buy $2000 worth of stock on a given day from here would have caused the stock to hit offers and rise a penny or two. This in turn makes others think, "good news could be coming... this might be my last chance to buy at this level since this stock is so lightly traded"... so they decide to buy and eventually have to hit the offer... etc...

I do believe my observation was true at the time I posted it! (I have no doubts about it actually) Since that time the buying died down again as people became familiar with Rock and began to wait *patiently* for the inevitable. The share price did correct back to even hit $0.14 again... as I believed it would do. (unfortunately I didn't buy at that time like I should have... *pout*)

Now, all of that is behind us! I believe that the current trading is being caused by the developments that are going on with the company now (articles in newspapers, IR being hired, IP news in the pipe, etc.). I don't believe SI is causing the current firming in the share price, now it is because of fundamental developments.
