Jules, regarding your "bundling" question. IBM's customers like to
aggregate their purchases so that they have leverage to discount.
Each product within the "bundle" has its own P&L and is allocated
revenue so it passes a deep discount test to insure each product in
the "bundle" is profitable and that there are no products being sold
at a loss. Also, each product can be ordered individually even when
there is one ordering process from a fulfillment standpoint such as
with OS/390 software. That is an entirely different set of business
practices than what we saw with MSFT and the DOJ issue if that is what
you are alluding to here.
