Their was an interesting article in the New York Times Tuesday about the new Blue light lasers. Did anyone see the article?

The laser was invented by a Japanese high tech company, Nichia Chemical Industries. It is a Violet laser with a life span of 10,000 hours. The company says they have started shipping sample quantities of the laser. They said that this new wave length will allow four times more storage space than the current red lasers, because each time the wave length is halved the beam will allow for four times more storage space.

Does anyone know anything about this and whether it has anything to do with Jmar?
