Nice price action in Wind despite the market. Looks like lots of accumulation...Technically, I think the stock is ready to break out in a BIG way. IMHO wj

I spoke to Schwab again today. It seems that the lists the phone people have are slightly out of date compared to the website -- I was told that the web was most likely correct. Also, he said that the list is defined by Schwab -- so Schwab could be encouraged to remove WIND from their list.

Of course, today's "move" will serve to justify Schwab's action. I wonder if a large holder of WIND on margin just got forced into selling by Schwab's new restriction?

Btw, they calculate the dollar-weighted average of the 35% and 50% margined stocks. So if you have $10k in WIND and $20k in MSFT (or whatever), with a $15k margin balance, your margin call %age would be about 40% (50*.333+35*.667). Of course, with the drop, WIND is now a smaller %age of the portfolio, so the %age goes down too!
