<< spin off a company let say call 3mazon.com >>

Mang,
I hate to find out how you'd name your children. 3mazon.com?? Isn't this a little bit too close to 3moron.com?

Mang, I asked you what you thought of the story that 3COM is shooting
for 80% of '99 revenue through e-commerce because I thought it
quite likely that anything approaching this will lead to an expansion
of PER (and stock price) even absent an upward bump in earnings. As
you have said:

......maybe they should spin off a company let say call 3mazon.com
then we should see our stock up to $400 in no time <g>.

and Harold pointed out in his #reply-7410454:
...only a fool would expect Internut performance!

But, currently there is no premium whatsoever built into
this stock for the economics of being able to sell Internet Equipment
worldwide, 7 days a week with just a small staff. If they are able to
pull it off, a COMS PER of 50 is not unreasonable. 3COM will, of course,
never be considered an "internut" stock because it has earnings.<g>
But, in light of this projection of 80% revenue through the e-tail, I
may have to raise my sights from 50-60 to closer to 100.
