My take on IBM / NOVL MERGER:

IBM recently filed a Shelf for $4.0 Billion,
(shelf's are for debt, misc. or "acquisitions").
IBM has so much cash, do they need it for debt or misc.

If NOVL has 352 million shares outstanding,
the $4.0 Billion works out to $11.25 per share.

IBM just reported greater than expected earnings,.
but did not announce a stock split. With the stock at 197,
CNBC predicted today a stock split could happen soon.

Could IBM soon announce a stock split and the purchase of NOVL,
offering $11.25 in CASH and the balance in IBM STOCK.
Buy-outs are often announced with stock splits.

I predict IBM will buy-out NOVL at $32 - $35 per share.
