Dave, I was going to keep my mouth shut, but, well <g>,
now that you bring it up.

I use Pagis Pro and Textbridge (98), and frankly I don't
think they are ready for prime time. Very clumsy.

Textbridge is one of the better OCR packages at accuracy,
or so I read, but certainly very clumsy in the user
interface from personal experience. Pagis does more or
less what it claims to do, but everything is sillier and
more clumsy than it has to be.

The Pagis scanner interface is a performance dog, a memory
hog, and prone to giving up the ghost with ten pages of
scans.

Edit anything it Pagis, such as moving a block of text,
feed it to Textbridge, and Textbridge will barf.

I'm impressed, but not favorably. The only way I can
imagine the favorable reviews this package has received
is that others are curs compared to this bowwow.

I do continue to use it, I admit. Not up on my priority
list for revision yet.
