*** OT *** As a sympathy play, I think Covad generates a lot of media attention for xDSL.. ADSL stocks, like BBFW, are not earnings driven. That said, the chart looks very good, stochastically consolidating some after a strong, volume based run. I see support 7ish, and I would consider adding near term if the opportunity presents itself. More important will be the tone and forward looking statements of the CC. Don't know Seaman's successor, but for me, this is just a trade I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-8 or more pts out of. Then again, the field IS finally kicking into gear, so just like PCMS, WSTL could get some additional takeover interest as well.

I knew too much about Aware to buy it. I posted their biz plan and what they made per modem to no response. Oh well, my myopia clearly hurt me in THAT one - like with most of the internets... keep an eye on DCLK though. They aren't a razor-margin portal or auction site. They do ads, are from Madison Avenue and are far away the leader in their field. Internet ad budgets haven't nearly begun to get serious - look for that to change this year and much more so next year. DLJ recently upped them and a price target to $160. SSB's Baker has it as his #1 pick. He told me if it broke 70 (on pullback last week) he would pound his fists on morning call to buy it, while standing naked on a chair <g>. He covered advertising for 10 years and is very respected.
