Don, I do remember SGI being one of the best informed on SI. I also remember the in house talent. Sounds like they're mostly gone.
There's a y2k company out there that Larry Boy will know who I'm
talking about, that reminds me a lot of the old SGI. Great talent,
poor leadership. Buzello (spelling) had just come on board here
shortly before I left. He came with great credentials. Takes awhile
to turn a big ship headed in the wrong direction around. Any consensus on his success? Any techies out there that understand
SGI's new direction. In the press talk about 3-D workstation efforts.
Anyone understand SGI's long term 3D workstation strategy? Does this encompass semi designs, industrial architecture, simulations, with direction focused on industry or also consumer use?
