I didnt say amzns future was in doubt Skeeter Bug. Like any R&D organization they are developing a solution. How is this any different than investing in, say, Oracle 10 years ago? The Oracle engine used to be a piece of crap. They finally cleaned it up with Oracle 7. If you bought Oracle stock prior to the release of Oracle 7 you were buying a promise of the future. Thats all you would be doing if you chose to buy amzn here - thats the way I see it.

I realize Amzn is not a profitable company and thats another matter - btw even I am not comfortable with that, however in this mkt companies are going public sooner than in the past an I have a few unprofitable companies in my portfolio which I believe will turn a profit eventually (Doubleclick is one). I wouldnt be a buyer of amzn here but maybe at the March correction Ill look at it. I already own some amzn in a managed acct.

I know I cant sway the bears here but you guys are so bearish Im trying to offer another perspective. BTW plenty of private managers hold amzn and they are not dumping this stock despite what I have read here (they are hedging to protect themselves however).
