sg, my guess would be that this is, of course, the initial thrust into the market... targeted at the larger vehicles that won't be effected by the size of the unit.

As the evolution of tech devices usually goes, both the size and price reduce over time. The need to maintain/improve their technology and reduce the size/price is the key, IMO.

This is just the first step. Nice to hear from KVH!
