bill..howdy from an old prodigy guy...remember the good old days ?
when we had a market maker pushing the stock from meyerson ???
and rb, and grupo ?
i wondered why there was a high reported way over 4bucks...i
figured it was an error...you should raise holy hell with e-trade
and DEMAND they make it right, market order or no market order...
and then find another account...i never had that problem with
prodigy, but they are more expensive if you trade too much...in
the end, you will be fine, but you are out almost 3grand...in the
end, that might be chump change <vbg>

Your question was in regards to the event you described, NOT if you have made money or not. I never suggested you were "wet behind the ears". (Are you a diver?)

If you did not like my answer, well that is different, and has nothing to do with the issue.

Once again, your statement:

"I realized, to a degree, the risk at the time, and actually the market makers in this stock have not done me wrong before. Come home at around 11AM this morning, Thursday, and my order has been filled at 4 5/8 and the stock is then trading at about 3 1/4!! So I have managed to lose 2850 in 1.5 hours? My confirmation was at 9:51.57."

And once again, if you want to avoid the above, do not use market orders.

Further, I never said, "With market orders you will never make money".

So, do as you wish, as they said in the movies, "frankly my dear, I don't give a damn".
