***OT***Stock market analysis. S&P 500 futures currently indicate a drop of about 15 points in the S&P 500.

Bob Pisani, a CNBC commentator, comes on the air this morning and says (rough quote), >The key to the market is to watch whether the leaders falter.<

With an opening indicated 15 or so S&P points down, does he expect the market, or its leaders, to show strength?

Of course, in this market, almost anything is possible, price-wise.

Regards,

Larry

Z;

<<Can you tell us whether the drive companies are beginning to look at the digital VCR as a potentially huge source of disk drive demand within the next several years? If so, it is impacting their planned capacity? Could it create shortages?>>

You probably know as much as I do about this app Z. Out here in factoryland we talk abut ion milling, micro etching, and molecular contamination. I hang with the "get it done" crowd. All that visionary stuff I get mostly from the same things you read probably. I do think, however, that non typical apps hold a lot of promise for the DD sector with digital VCRs just one of them. But just think if it took off like VHS did. Wow.

Best,
Stitch
