Hey Simon,

You seem like a nice guy. All guys with the name of Simon are good. Once I managed 8 of them in the same team. It became a joke that if you did not know the name of the person in my team, you could just call him Simon, and 8/40 times you'd be correct. Thats a high probability, don't you think ?

So let me explain this to you verrrrry slowly.

There was this great lady called Ayn Rand. She wrote zillions of pages about individuals as being the building blocks of society. She had a cult following and was considered a guru on capitalistic fiction. Very powerful pieces of work - Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead. It might help you if you read her in depth analysis of capitalism.

After that you might try the great economist Lester Thorow (hey did I get the spelling wrong - I read him 2 years back) and his views on the capitalistic society.

Socialism demands we invest in the good of the country/company/society. Capitalism postulates that if every entity in the free markets is allowed to work for their own good, the markets, (& the society) will be more efficient.

I demand maximum returns for my investment. In a free market, if the company I invest in, does not provide returns, it will go under. If I as an individual, always take care of my own interests, the free markets/company/society will take care of themselves....

Hope that makes it a bit clearer...........

I promise to go slower next time....

;)
