Hundreds of wired (facilities-based) points of presence internationally, as well as domestically, and some other plant assets, and then some. But keep in mind that these are of the dialup nature, and not those which would readily support cable modem architectures. A large leverage point and subscriber base, just the same.

Don't know yet. How does it enhance or confuse ATHM's business model to now have subscribers using dial up networking [dun]? Will dun'ing ATHM in this fashion cause a major distraction for them, or force them to take their eye off of their main mission? How might this affect the theological argument for cable modem, if ATHM finds itself promoting the quality of its new-found tetherees? Anyone?
