Jay, there are two issues with IBM.

First, there has been a big runup in the price of the shares recently in expectation of earnings and revenues that were much greater than forecast.

Those expectations were not met.

So, to paraphrase the Bard, "the fault, dear Jay, is not in our stocks, it is in ourselves."

When we create unreasonable expectations we are invariably headed for disappointment.
