That's the beauty of the Celeron notebook PCs - they will outperform the K6-2's because the Celeron cache will run at FULL CPU SPEED - 233, 266 300 or 333 or 366 MHz. The 66 MHz external clock is just fine for the external peripheral circuits.

The 100 MHz bus, however, is a LIMITATION for the K6-2 because the external L2 cache is FIXED at a LOWLY 100 MHz.

So once again, AMD's inability to bring the K6-3 to market in a timely manner puts it at a great technological disadvantage to Intel.
