You can use the BUDDY chat with any browser. I have Prodigy Internet and MSN and AOL Buddy chat comes up automatically with both.

I actually like AOL because it allows me to communicate with my friends and family with the 'buddy chat'.

You can download this application from either Netscape or AOL and use it with a non-AOL ISP. I do.

Excite also has a competing application called PAL.
