Walter,

Earnings are scheduled for 1/25/99. You might consider waiting until after they are reported. That's what I'm doing. Although, there are plenty of people on this thread much more knowledgeable than myself. Such as Ausdauer, Daniel, Craig, and others ...

Good luck to all,

rll

Does the Pointis player use these ROS cards or MMC cards?? Does anyone have an answer on copyright issues regarding downloads of MP3 music to these Sandisk cards? Seems to me that if CD's will be replaced by MP3 on Sandisk cards that there will be some heavy pushback - and legal proceedings - from the traditional CD music manufacturers.

Walter, in 1974, 4KB RAM chips were commonplace while a 5MB disk drive cost $9,000 and weighed ~100 pounds. Today, 64MB chips are common and 10GB drives weighing ~1 pound cost <$200.

Project this trend for another 25 years and we'll have 2,000GB "nanomachine" drives costing ~$5. That's enough capacity to store 15,000 MP3 albums plus several hundred thousand multi-megapixel photos. It's hard to imagine having a need for a second memory card when you still have enough unused storage for another dozen lifetimes!
