Revenue and Profit increases: Quarter over Quarter & Year over Year

With less shares outstanding this year and a board meeting planned for Tuesday pick up a few on these "On Sale" IBM shares at $182 or so !~

Mostly overlooked is that IBM has made the difficult transition from being a 85% hardware company with 4 year product cycles to a software & services company with $51 BILLION of contracts on the BOOKS !

Come join me in a few weeks as we celebrate IBM crossing $200 for good , and by the way , I suspect if you look closely at the Super Bowl advts we may see a IBM PowerPC in action !

OK don't blieve me ? Then see:

" -- CSFB's Amit Chopra raised his 1999 earnings estimate to $7.50 a share from $7.42 a share, and set a target of $230, up from $185. He reitterated his buy rating.

-- ''The quarter did make an important statement: software and services will drive IBM's business model,'' Chopra said. ''>This model should generate a higher return on invested capital than its predecessor.''

warren buffet's berkshire hathaway is a holding company.. based on value..

therefore... his individual stocks gain value and that is reflected in berkshire's price...

however... IBM is more than berkshire hathaway... it needs a lower stock price to gain leverage on its competitors... there is more of a financing game here...

and btw... why don't you just create on macro in excel to take care of this splitting problem you have... it's actually not that difficult..
