<Breaking Rumor> AOL in satellite Deal? @Home to Buy Worldnet?

abraves:
Here is something to chew about.

AOL in a Satellite Deal?
Need another fat rumor to chew on over the weekend? Gnaw on this: A high-speed satellite-based Internet deal may be in the works between DirecTV and America Online Inc. (AOL). How can we be sure? We can't. CNET's News.com reports that neither company is commenting on the speculation, but sources say the deal seems like a logical step for both companies.

@Home To Buy WorldNet?
Friday the Wall Street Journal reported that AT&T (T) is considering selling its Internet-access business, including its WorldNet dial-up service, to @Home Network (ATHM). AT&T would supposedly sell the service in exchange for $1 billion in @Home stock, and the company would retain control of WorldNet under its pending merger with Tele-Communications Inc.
