What about "saving social security"? Or did Bill just forgot to say "saving social security for my pork-barrel spending programs"? This is worse than what you accused Bush of, reneging on his no new taxes pledge? Clinton took the initiative to spend the money in this case, in fact, on Medicare which is not even in the same trust fund as SS or in the general revenue pool.

Hey Daniel,

I agree that old Tricky Dick would not
have survived a Senate trial. But then,
he could not count on Democratic "unity"
(the word is partisanship if you are a
Republican) like Bill Clinton can. Lets
face it...the Democrats are really good
liars and are willing to throw themselves
in front of a train to save their beloved
Bubba. The fact is that Ken Starr caught
Bill Clinton red handed in an obstruction/
perjury/witness tampering case. However,
just as Marsha Clark and Christopher Darden
faced the daunting task of convincing a
mostly Black jury that O. J. Simpson was
guilty of murder, the Republicans face the
same task of convincing a confused public,
and a partisan bunch of Democratic losers
like Kennedy, Boxer, Schumer, Dodds, and
the rest who had already decided "not guilty"
before the case was presented.

It does not matter though, Daniel. I would
much rather lose the case but know in my
heart what was right, than to resort to the
kinds of cheap shots that the Democrats and
their friends like Larry Flynt are relying
upon to save Bill Clinton, America's "LIAR
IN CHIEF".
