To elaborate a little more on CF making or beating estimates. IMO, when Pete and CO. "recalibrated " his numbers on the Debacle conference call, one would have assumed that he could do this new number in his sleep and that is the indication that was given in Florida. The .12-.16 cent number is Pete's and co's ultra conservative number in light of the Debacle. If Pete and Co. just hits on those ultra conservative numbers and does not beat them handily, then what that tells me is that CF is having a tough time meeting the most conservative estimates. The analyst have given Pete his lowest number, .12 to beat.

Therefore, if Pete and CO. can barely beat these conservative estimates does that mean that he is doing the opposite of what he said he would not do in the Debacle CC. "CF is not in a sprint. Our goal is to protect our leadership in a important emerging market for the long run. We will not sacrifice that position to chase a near term earnings estimate", said Pete Kight. Is Pete striving to make the numbers that he himself re-calibrated.

I could see a case where CF is going to do anything and everything to make these new numbers no matter what. I fear they could be struggling just to do that. Only time will tell. There are alot more jobs on the line this time than only Jim Douglas's IMO.

I don't mean to sound negative because I am way long this thing, but I am still dressing my wounds from Aug. 12. I wish management the best and enjoy Zuma's lobsters.
