George, when thinking of trauma don't think gunshots, etc., think automobile mishaps. Almost 50,000 a year are slaughtered on our highways not to mention millions who survive trauma of high speed transport. So one might look to seasonality of your old fashion car wreck. Most emergency rooms that treat heavy trauma wouldn't be able to keep their doors open if not for the carnage created by the horseless carriage. I understand that some morons actually try to operate these vehicles while they are drunk which also leads to some interesting trauma. Maybe it is the same morons that carry their meds around in brown paper bags.<g>
