I think a lot of these jokers run for president simply to increase their lecture-circuit fees. I mean, what a great investment in your own stock. Your spending other people's money to increase your own value.

I've had the opportunity to meet Quayle personally and speak to him one on one. In contrast to the media portrayal, I found him to be an excellent speaker, intelligent and thoughtful as well as sincere. I like his message. Unfortunately, I don't think he is electable because of perceptions such as yours, reinforced by the media. JLA
