Warning again this year in Singapore about buying the foreign shares.

The domestic stocks of the Big Four Singapore banks could offer a safe port of call for investors as yet another chill wind of uncertainty sweeps over regional markets.

But for holders of foreign tranches of the Big Four, the outlook is less promising.

Behind this assessment lies the near-unanimous view that sooner rather than later the anachronistic two-tier stock system will be scrapped, and the outcome will be a single price likely to settle somewhere between the two.
