happy girl:

How can you kill a soul? If it exists I thought it was supposed to be immortal.

>The issue is very emotional. IMO, science is in its embryonic stages. What if you
are killing the undiscovered and unproven "soul" ?<

I thought about this for a while. I decided it doesn't matter to me. When you abort a potential human life you kill the potential of that life- I do not know if it is possible to kill the soul, if souls exist, but even if the soul did die (in which case souls wouldn't be worth much would they? I mean the whole comfort thing with souls is that they are supposed to survive the death of the corporal body -right?) it doesn't make any difference to me.

You mean, suppose you are killing a being which has a soul. Which would be murder, or at least different, and worse, probably, than killing a being which does not.

Well, that's the problem, isn't it? The term "soul", however, typically refers to a being which breathes.
