SmartMoney.com: What kinds of tech stocks did you buy last year?

Alger: One area I really like in technology is semiconductor stocks. It's a promising industry. The
company that excites me the most is Rambus (RMBS). The company took a big hit recently because it
reported a quarter that was not as good as people had hoped. But what's going on right now with the
company's earnings is irrelevant. In the longer term, it has a new, proprietary way of building DRAM. It
has licenses with all the major manufacturers. The DRAM Rambus can provide to the market is much
faster than what we've seen in the past.
