Sorry to interfere in your discussion, but my understanding of "GAP classics" (Jake Bernstein and Lastshadow) - the price triggers should take into account yesterday's low and high as well. According to Bernstein you should buy gaps down (sell gaps up) if stock price penetrates yesterday's low (high). So, I use for quick buys (GAP down): q.buy=0.5*(open+min(yest.low,1st_hour.high)) and similar formulas in other cases. Check out
