To all: I don't give a rats behind what the idiots
on Wall Street did today. Iomega came through and
accomplished what they planned. They beat the estimates
for Christ sake!!! Sure they announced a break even
first quarter and sure they had two division leaders
quit. First of all many high tech companies have
warned the first quarter will be a lot weaker than
the fourth. Guess what?? The first quarter is always
weaker than the fourth...in fact its the weakest high
tech earnings quarter of the year!!! Secondly the new
CEO is restructuring the company and pissed off two
of the generals who just plain didn't agree with his
plan. In every company you always have a group of
inflated egos-this also goes for IOMEGA. Did anyone
even consider that IOM could be reinvesting in the
company profits they could make during the first
quarter?? Sounds like a solid long term strategy to
me. I noticed the articles and stories (on CNBC)
tend to highlight this companies shortcomings and tend
to forget or plain misrepresent their accomplishments.
I'm sticking with IOMEGA. I owned during the great
run-up of 1996 and now firmly believe it IS a REAL
company thats HERE TO STAY!!! Good Luck and God Bless
IOMEGA and its loyal shareholders!!!!
