Now we see the REAL OS Monopoly in action... I worry a little about the blue and white direction too- no serial ports and no scsi is a real detraction in my mind at this time. On the other hand, what are people going to do, switch to Wintel? For a lot of peoplr, that is just flat not an option. Too many people have had terrible experiences with Windows. Apple is using their monopoly in easy-to-use operating system to force people in to a radical hardware upgrade path. Fortunately, I like the hardware... except I don't feel like paying $79 for an adapter so can plug my palm pilot in to the thing. Maybe 3Com will make a pilot USB cradle. They already make a USB modem- but it's expensive compared to serial. In time, this will all get ironed out. Until then, I hope somebody panics on this issue, and drops the price back to low $30s again so I can steal my shares back. Web
