BigBull -- The DogFather may not be a good subject for an interview if higher stock prices are what you are looking for. I see an industry still in decline. I do not have an optimistic view (except for FGI) until oil prices move higher on a sustained basis.

My suggestion for now is to buy the dips and sell the strength (if/when any).

The catch, of course, is that stock prices will move higher along with oil prices and once momentum gains hold the stock prices will jump ahead based on nothing to do with business fundamentals.

By the way...It can't be Lowes offering for the DO bonds. They already own a ton of DO. (May be majority, I don't know.) However, it would be a good buy for them...or anyone else at such a price.

BigBull, Now Merrill Lynch does not cover all OS stocks, but it covers most of them. I'll post all of the data after the Big Dog interview. Except for the three companies listed Wilbros Co, Helmerich and Payne, and Halter Marine, which are "holds" the rest are short-term "buys" and long term "strong buys". ML lists out all of the technical parameters on eachstock- and man! They are cheap based upon on most technical parameters right now even with bad earnings coming up near term.

For example. The range of PE's relative to the market are from 0.20-27 (ENSCO , Smedvig, Halter Marine, National Oilwell, Rowan Cos., Tidewater and Santa Fe Int'l)to 0.28-0.38 (Global Marine, Diamond Offshore,Cooper Cameron, Offshore Logistics, Noble Drilling, Transocean, and Coflexip), 0.46-50 (Smith, Petroleum Geoservices, and Helmerich Payne), 0.65-0.70 (CGG, Baker Hughes, BJ Services, and Halliburton) 0.70 (Schlumberger) right now with most OS stocks in the 0.45 range as an average....

And the list includes a couple of foreign OS stocks that you may not follow that they like too....These stocks may not go up- but they sure do not look to have much downside risk.... true value stocks....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
