One reason I would see them buying the warrants above the current price is the realization that they could not buy that many shares on the open market without influencing the price. i.e. driving it higher. The biggest outsider is Gerald Phillips. If he wants this many shares, 686,000, he may not be able to accumulate them on the open market for cheaper than this.
