Glenn, I believe Bezos can collect substantial revenues by being the processor for any retailer that would prefer to sell their wears and use his brand name.
I also think its possible that if he really does become the "Giant Internet e-tailer". He could eventually charge every one of his customers an annual membership fee.
As you know Costco does that now by appearing to have the very best deals for their customers. To such an extent that every individual and corporate customer @ Costco wouldn't consider shopping anywhere esle, unless there's not a Costco warehouse that's not convenient.
Ps
Costco is going full steam to open up its web-site. If I had been Bezos I would have tried to sigh Costco up. After all they're both based in Seattle. He could have just walked across the street to sign the deal.
It will be interesting to see if he can sign up a major retailer.
