Yeah, I read that release.
The geo-info there seemed more of a cut and paste from some regional geology, so I put more weight on the last release. The description of the latest hole refers to the gabbroic phase being mineralized, this I assume is from an actual log of the hole by their Ni-geodude.

Raglan is a Komatiite-hosted deposit versus Voisey which is Magmatic sulfide...very different. Sudbury has the norties and the PGE's but I think we can leave out the astrobleme theory for now;-) The komatiites are usually eroded basalt flows with mineralization located in ultra-mafic pods (pearls on a string so to speak), so we can skip that.

The structural controls on mineralization at Voisey are well documented, from tectonic-scale (e.g. Nain-Churchill boundary) to re-activated conjugate faults as mineralized-magma conduits etc.

The 0.5 to 0.2 ratios given in the May press release are weighted averages and probably represent near background levels. This seems to be fairly qualitative and probably not the measure of what we see within each assay interval for the more mineralized zones.

Given the variable nature of the Ni-ratios at Voisey (Ovoid vs Eastern Deeps vs Western Extension) and the qualitative nature of the data here, as I described above, I think comparisons on Ni/Cu ratios are a bit shaky for now.

The more pertinent info we get the more we can discuss. Any idea on when the rest of the assay data will be available?
