Ariella,

I was very negative on the stock. The market collapse in October rewarded my negative sentiment.

Then, with the market's uncertainty over the Q3 results, I felt that DCTM would trade up and said so. I sold out of the stock too early, but when it reached the year-end level didn't come out negative because my industry contacts continued to say positive things about Documentum (btw, look at the current issue of KM to see a story about how Documentum should BENEFIT from Y2K issues).

Therefore, at the depressed levels and management's lowering guidance to a level that seems to be VERY attainable, the risk is that these guys are full of crap. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!!

So, I'm betting on the management, products, and the market.

Best of luck and see you at $28 by next Friday!

To all:

It appears that there may be stock manipulation going on in DCTM shares. Today, twice this morning low volume stock traded below the market sending the shares of Documentum down to the aforementioned trade levels.

This manipulation is clearly a "naked short" sale of this stock to further someone's short position by continuing the downward technical bias. This short appears to be worried about allowing any positive momentum into the stock.
