As far as I can tell, both Applied and Lam have completed tier 3
phase of their systems at Hyundai Fab at I-chon in Korea.
Lam and Applied systems are sitting side by side and running
customer wafers to evaluate process performance at this point.
It is not a customer demo situation. Rather Hyundai purchased multiple
Lam and Applied systems and looking at these machine performance to
choose tools of record for upcoming new process.
It is Lam's 4520 XLE's vs Applied IPS etchers for Oxide contact etch
for CMP applications. I have a feeling that Lam will win good share
of tool order that is pending soon. I certainly hope so...

Based on the other forecasts I've seen, TSMC is probably anticipating 10% chip industry growth in dollar terms. Still not great news for an industry whose business model assumes 17% CAGR.

From your comments its clear you don't have a clue of the IT market, let alone trade in them.

To put the records straight tell us which IT funds you Hold???
