Yes. There are now a growing number of Cassini-related sites all purporting that it is going to crash into Earth and poison millions, perhaps billions, with plutonium. Some are using Nostradamus as the rationale for their "prediction". Unfortunately, those that believe Nostradamus predicted that are fooling themselves. It is quite clear that the "King of Terror" is supposed to first be discovered during the eclipse over Europe, specifically France, and come as a complete surprise, if not an outright shock, to virtually everyone. If I were to speculate that Nostradamus really foresaw some terrifying event occurring in 1999, I would lean towards the asteroid theory. It is within the realm of possibility that one of the Apollo or Icararus asteroids could collide with Earth and if this happened, because of their orbits and proximity to us, we may only have weeks or months warning. If one of them changed their orbit while swinging around the sun, it would be possible to calculate it's new path, but the earliest we could possibly do that would be during a total eclipse because we would observe the object much sooner than normal -- it would normally be lost in the glare of the sun's light until it was much closer to us. It will be interesting to watch the ensuing events. I will say this: if 1999 comes and goes without any "Great Terror" appearing from the sky, Nostradamus will not remain such an object of fascination as he currently is for some. This truly is the ultimate test of his "abilities", as we are here to witness one of the most specific prophecies he made during his career. On the other hand, if some great disaster or near disaster occurs which fills or seems to meet his prediction, then he will probably be talked about and discussed for thousands of years to come.
