Gary,
Intel makes processors, the Celeron is their low cost entry. This sounds like they are going more head to head with AMD and Cyrix. The press release also says that they are trying to reduce chip count.
My reaction is that this will help NMGC since they have a one chip solution for the rest of the computer. I think this shows that the market is moving towards low cost portable computing solutions. NMGC has the lions share of this market and this will show up in the earnings.
I think NMGC hasn't gotten much respect because they get lumped in with the other graphics chip companies. These companies usually get hammered when their products become obsolete. NMGC has been continually innovating. Just look at all the notebook computer vendors and see how many have NMGC chips in them (a lot). Then look at the notebook market(especially the low-end market) and you'll see that its growing like crazy.

Gary - Intel has always been in the mobile processor business. They just announced four new mobile processors which should help stimulate sales of notebooks which will then need a Neo's graphics accelerator plugged in right next to Intel's brand spanking new processors. Intel's announcement was actually pre-announced some time ago so it really is not new news.

I project that short interest will again be higher when January's numbers are announced based on the heavy selling which has persisted since the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, the price has been beaten down so much that the window of opportunity for the shorts to cover and make money is now open. This deflates my hoped for projection of a massive short squeeze some what. Don't dismiss a short squeeze entirely - just yet. There's still a whopping big short position in this stock, all we need is a catalyst.

I've noticed some quiet block buying in the last few days which suggests some tentative accumulation by big hands is occurring. These big buyers appear to be slowly and quietly accumulating now on price dips so as to not pressure the stock price noticeably as they scarf up big knarly wads of Neo here and there.

I have found out the truth about the seeming discrepancy I noticed on the Quote.com site which seemed to be showing a number of bogus big trades. Seems that I was confusing MM bid and ask prices and quantities listed on the ticker with actual trades. My mistake. Please ignore my paranoid rantings on the subject.

I have every right to be paranoid with this stock. It behaves so strangely at times I wonder if Elvis lives and manipulates this stock while singing, "Whole lotta shaking going on."
