Jules, you are much deeper thinker than me! I let IBM do that level
of analysis and then provide guidance. As long as there is
flexibility to buy back shares and so on they will make the numbers
and that is what the street wants, consistent earnings, no surprises
and so on. Misguidance is deadly as we just saw. So I am not trying
to make the world safe for data processing, I am just trying to make
a buck. I dont think they run into major problems until sometime
mid-year when the upcoming data center freeze could be the catalyst
that breaks the cycle. I dont know the answer but I am prepared to
be in all cash by August.
