Actually, the thing that maybe thinks this will all work out eventually, damnit, is that in October I had to leave town at the bottom and sold, and returned when it was pretty much up. I was down to 28% of my capital, and with extreme conservatism and cleverness (ahem) battled back to 100%. I had to do that after June of 97, too. Now what does that mean and why can't I do it starting from 100%? I have no gdamn idea. But I think it's me. Pretty astute, eh? But it really does feel like an intelligence test I'm not quite getting.
