Malcolm: Thanks for the update. It does indeed sound more and more like there's some life in the old "dog" yet.
We know it's not dead, and if I HAD to guess one way or the other (in other words, if you threatened me with a firing squad if I refused to take a position) I'd say this deal is going to happen.
I'm not quite ready to plunk down any more money into the stock, but I'm not about to pull out and here's why.
The deal was supposed to have been finalized back at the end of October. If the deal had flat out fallen through we would have heard about it by now - if only in the form of a decision-carrying response from Tamsco.
Secondly, IF we are reading the situation correctly (and I believe we are), negotiations and/ or financing has continued for a prolonged period of time. Why bother, unless the merger has maintained its attraction to both parties?
Nothing's for sure at this point. I believe everyone is tight-lipped so as not to throw any wrenches into the deal. Of course, that's going to make it difficult to risk more of an investment if the clues are that hard to come by. On the other hand, as a good friend is fond of saying,
"buy it when nobody else wants it."
SSGI sure qualifies.
So allow me to make a slight adjustment to your statement: "When you're hung, you have little choice but to be patient."
We're hangin', but not (yet) hung.
