Kevin - RE: "The Register is the least accurate source of information about the semiconductor industry that I've run accross"

Actually, they have been accurate with AMD predictions. The problem is that they are heavily biased against companies like Intel and Microsoft. In all articles that mention either of those two companies, at least one slam is printed. They also love Compaq, and, to an extent, AMD. Have you read any of the articles within the past two weeks with both those companies mentioned? It is the complete opposite of how they handle Intel and Microsoft. Since they are a very biased publication, it is hard for someone to not take what they say with a grain of salt.

Do a search of AMD at their site, you will probably quite a few accurate articles, but of course, you will also see a biased opinion.
