Brian, day trading will not go away, it will only get bigger as more people get on the internet and more people who don't use online brokers start using them. This is a good thing, IMHO. Day traders provide liquidity in the market, and long-term they have zero effect on any stock's price. And, once you follow a stock long enough and learn its trading range, you can make some easy money every now and again.
