Class move. Sell new stock before announcing the split. Expect good earnings report and split news soon.

Paul,
Part of my portfolio is made up from mechanical screens developed in the Motley Fool workshops. They all start with Value Line's stocks ranked 1 for timeliness. This month SLR popped up in two of the portfolios. I already own JBL, FLEX and DIIG. Do you think these are reasonable proxies for SLR?

Question #2: I was actually out of JBL until the very end of trading yesterday. I had been whipsawed out of it on the down open on the 13th. I had placed limit buys on all the stocks I was stopped out of on the 13th trying to get them back at a reasonable price (probably a mistake in view of the markets decline this week -- should have heeded the markets warning.) Anyway, I had several stocks blow-up big time last week and this unexpected purchase of JBL may have pushed me over my margin limit. In view of the excellent appreciation in the ECM stocks in recent weeks, might they be good candidates to temporarily throw overboard if the market continues south on Monday? I realize that Flex and JBl have already pulled back at least 10% and may have already reached support.

Thanks in advance,
Bob
